MEMBERS of the public who have received outstanding patient care from a team or individual working for Hywel Dda NHS Trust are being invited to nominate them for a staff award.
The Best of Health Awards aim to recognise and reward staff who go the extra mile in their day-to-day work, whether they be frontline staff such as doctors and nurses or supporting staff such as receptionists and hospital porters.
Nominations can be made by members of the public, patients, carers, relatives, GPs, voluntary groups and service users as well as staff, but the deadline for submissions is Monday, February 16.
It is hoped the awards will highlight the abundance of best practice and quality initiatives that exist in the local health service.
Chief executive Martin Turner said: "The work carried out by all our staff is greatly appreciated, but the contributions of some individuals and teams over the last year has been exceptional and they deserve to be recognised. These awards will give us, and the general public, the opportunity to show just how much we value their efforts."
The categories for awards are:
The Chief Executive's Award for Outstanding Service Innovation or Excellence in Improving Patient Care or Experience ; Healthcare Worker of Year; Clinical Leader/Mentor of the Year; Manager of the Year; Learner of the Year; Unsung Hero (Non-Clinical); Team of the Year; Excellence in Partnership-Working; Public or Staff Engagement and Involvement.
Nomination forms are available by contacting the Trust's communication team on 01267 239576 or 01267 239815. Alternatively you can email [email protected]">[email protected] or [email protected]">[email protected]
