Visit Wales, in partnership with the Wales Tourism Alliance and in commercial partnership with corporate communications company Quadrant, is staging the National Tourism Awards to recognise the value of the tourism industry to Wales and to applaud the dedication and professionalism of those who, 12 months a year, offer a warm welcome to Wales.

Jonathan Jones, director of tourism and marketing for Visit Wales, said: "We are very excited to see the registrations for the National Tourism Awards coming through already. Once again, we will be able to highlight some of the very best Welsh businesses who help us to provide the best quality of service to Wales tourism."

Winners will be announced at the awards' ceremony on Thursday, October 21, at the Vale Hotel, Golf and Spa Resort in Cardiff, hosted by TV presenter Sarra Elgan.

Chris Osborne, chair of the Wales Tourism Alliance, said: "These awards recognise the importance of the tourism industry to the Welsh economy and are an opportunity to showcase the very best of what Wales has to offer.

"The awards continue to evolve and this year there are new categories which will give even more businesses the opportunity to enter and add to what is already a highly regarded and successful event."
