Over the past three years, there has been overwhelming support for the 'Pembrokeshire Dawn Walk'. The money raised by a group of very willing volunteers, sponsors, supporters and walkers has gone directly to local charities. The sum of £67,450 has been given to Withybush Cancer Services which has bought scanning equipment, electrical drip feeders and will help fund the new chemotherapy day unit, while £15,000 has been donated to the Wales Air Ambulance. Pictured recently at Withybush Hospital are members of the cancer services department receiving a cheque for £17,000 from representatives of the Pembrokeshire Dawn Walk Committee. The next Dawn Walk is going to take place in May 2008, so keep walking and give yourselves a big thank you for supporting such a tremendous cause.
