The wedding took place at Jeffreyston Church, on Sunday, of Mr. Julian Owen Nicholas and Miss Elizabeth Jane Henderson.

The groom, a dairy farmer, is the son of Brian and Suzanne Nicholas, of Bramble Lodge, Stepaside, while the bride, a maths teacher at Greenhill School, Tenby, is the daughter of Olive and the late Ian Henderson, of Lyndhurst Avenue, Broadmoor, Kilgetty.

Given away by her uncle Mr. John Henderson, the bride wore an ivory luster satin dress with pearl and crystal beading and semi-cathedral train, with the train inset and bodice band in claret, and carried a bouquet of claret crystals and pearls.

Bridesmaids Jayne Edwards (school friend) and Nicky Haycocks (university friend) both wore claret strapless dresses, trimmed with ivory, and carried gold pearl and crystal posies.

Best man was Wayne Knox (groom's friend), while the ushers were Mark Ogden (groom's brother-in-law) and Gethin Vaughan and Clive Jenkins (friends of the bride and groom).

The ceremony was conducted by Father Paul Davies and Rev. Rhob Pattinson, while organist was Mrs. Eileen Thomas.

On leaving the church, the couple were met by an archway of pitchforks held by members of Martletwy YFC.

Afterwards, a reception and evening party were held at Nant-Y-Ffin Hotel in Llandissilio, where the couple cut a four-tier wedding cake made by Janet Mathias and iced by Helen Morgan.

They will be making their home at Lower Cox Hill Farm, Narberth.
