UNDER starters orders for next month's Cardiff Marathon is local runner Dai Spencer, who will be pounding the streets of the Welsh capital to raise money for the Saundersfoot branch of the RNLI. The October 9 26-mile run will be Dai's 12th marathon and his first Welsh event. Dai had been planning to compete with his father- in-law Pat Currie, but unfortunately he has had to withdraw because of injury.
