St. Johns Church, Tenby, is in full bloom this weekend for the annual Daffodil Festival. Over 5,500 of the Welsh national flower have been used to create spectacular floral displays depicting the theme of light. The popular festival opened yesterday (Thursday) and runs until Sunday. There are also a variety of Welsh-themed events taking place including a performance by Tenby Infants School this morning (Friday) and a quiz night with Ian Nicholls in aid of the Welsh Air Ambulance at 7.30 pm. Tomorrow (Saturday), there will be fresh Welsh Cakes baked at the front of the church, a coffee morning, plus Irish dancing, Tenby Brass Band, St. Mary's Hand Bell Ringers and a Noson Lawen. Then on Sunday, morning worship will be at 10.30 am, followed by a faith lunch. The festival concludes with a Gymanda Ganu at 8 pm.
