A couple who originally hail from Tenby found a local connection in Cornwall recently when they opened a church book full of signatures dating back to World War II. Tenby native Gary Thomas and his wife, Anne, were touring Cornwall a few weeks ago when they visited a small village church in St. Just. "In the church named 'St Just in Roseland' they came across a book that was on show and it was filled with signatures, mainly of American troops on the eve of the D-Day landings in Normandy," explained Gary's father, Dave Thomas, of Tenby. "They noticed one signature in particular and they were quite excited to see that it was 'Ivor Crockford RN, Tenby'" he revealed.
