A very impressive service was held at The Rath in Milford on Thursday, June 6, commemorating D-Day.

The service was organised by Lt. Col. Doug Joyce and the British Legion Milford Branch.

The Mayor of Milford, Clr. Mrs. Y. G. Southwell, attended and the Last Post was sounded.

Very few Veterans remain after 69 years, but there was a good attendance and the weather was beautiful.

Refreshments were available at the British Legion Branch afterwards.
