The 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy (Operation Overlord) was commemorated by ceremonies in Milford Haven and Tenby over the weekend.
Milford was the centre of county ceremonies, with a large attendance, including a party from Tenby Royal British Legion.
A short service was held at Tenby War Memorial, attended by the town's Deputy Mayor and representatives of the Royal British Legion, Merchant Navy Association and RAFA, the service being conducted by Canon John Potter (Burma Star Association), with wreaths being laid by the Deputy Mayor and chairman of the Legion.
Tenby was also represented at the Aramanche ceremony on Saturday, June 6, by Wing Commander John Tipton DFC* and Gordon Prime, chairman of Pembrokeshire NVA.
