A group of local cyclists took part in a charity challenge on Sunday.

Seventeen riders each pedalled for an hour and 45 minutes at the town's Cycle-Fit Indoor Cycling to raise £250 for the Harriet Davis Trust.

The ride on the centre's indoor cycles was a simulated hill climb on Mont Ventoux, one of the toughest climbs on the Tour de France.

"It was pretty tough towards the end, so everyone did really well to complete it, and they each covered 30 miles," said Jon Mills, of Cycle-Fit.

The Harriet Davis Trust provides holiday houses in Pembrokeshire for disabled children and their families. Harriet's House, the trust's first property, will be celebrating its 21st anniversary this summer and an appeal has been launched to raise £21,000 to refurbish it.
