Following the recent sponsored bike ride, barbecue, raffles etc., organised by the Tenby Evergreen Nomads, the grand sum of £980 was raised (plus some outstanding sponsorship towards charity funds), and the committee would like to thank the riders, sponsors and all who supported them on the day in various ways.
Riders varied in size and age, from a very slim athletic eight-year-old to a very large 65-year-old (with a very sore bottom), but all managed to complete the course and earned every penny of their sponsorship monies.
Further events for this year will be advertised and will continue to help with the local charities the Nomads intend supporting, one example being the open conker knockout tournament at the Evergreen on Sunday, October 21, at 12 noon.
