Sir, On behalf of the St. James' Fair Committee, may we announce that there will be no St. James' Fair this year or indeed in the near future. With the rising costs of operating the Fair and shortage of willing hands, the present committee can no longer carry on. We would like to thank everyone who worked so hard and helped to raise funds and contributed to the success of so many Fairs over the past years. We thank the many stall holders who we hope enjoyed themselves and indeed were able to add financially to their chosen charities. Last but not least, we wish to thank the many people who attended the Fair and helped to make the day successful, financially and socially. It is with great sadness that the committee are unable to carry on at this time. Best wishes to you all and a thousand 'thank yous' for any part you played, large or small. Hope you will have loads of happy memories.
