Haverfordwest will play Neyland in the final of the Thomas Scourfield and Sons Harrison-Allen Bowl at Cresselly on Saturday July 30.
Haverfordwest clinched a place in the final with an eight wickets win in the semi-final at Pembroke Dock over Saundersfoot who had reached the semi-final for the first time.
Saundersfoot have been scaling the heights this season with at least two players producing match winning performances on five occasions and to get the better of drawn matches as well.
Howver, the first appearance in a match of this magnitude for most of the team resulted in Saundersfoot not realising their potential on the night and the Seasiders were bowled out for 118. Left arm spinner Simon Holliday took 4-36 and paceman Adam James took 4-36.
They were aided by a miserly spell from the economic spinner Clive Tucker who took 2-18 in his accurate stint when he opened the bowling as Saundersfoot were prevented from making the flying start which many spectators were looking forward to watching.
Phil Jones used his experience to stage a late recovery with an undefeated innings of 24 along with Jason Llama who scored 22 but it was too little and too late to post a really challenging run chase.
Haverfordwest did not make the best of starts as Simon Wood, who has been in these situations many times over the years kept the runs in check to some extent to take 2-28, including the prolific Simon Holliday for 18.
Unfortunately for Saundersfoot no other bowler could remove any of the batsmen.
A third wicket partnership of 86 between Ben Field and David Davies took Harfat to a winning total of 120-2, with both batsmen undefeated on 38 apiece.
