Last Thursday evening, Tenby Cubs welcomed the elders of St. Johns Church to the new Scout and Guide Hall in Warren Street where they enjoyed an evening of entertainment and refreshments. The evening was held to thank members of St. Johns for very kindly agreeing to allow the Cubs to meet each week in their church hall where they were able to carry out a full programme, as well as activities, such as cooking and sleepovers, while their long-awaited new hall was under construction. As a thank you, Ann Maggs accepted a vase for floral decoration at St. Johns Church and Marion Griffiths accepted a Scout centenary bear. The Cubs would like to thank Pauline Allen who kindly gave up her time once again to share her piano skills with the children and the parents of the Cubs who gave their support to the evening. Thanks also go to T. P. Hughes for their support. Finally, the Cubs would also like to thank the church elders for entering into the spirit of the evening and for joining the children in singing camp fire songs.
