The 1st Tenby Cub Group have presented a bench to Gumfreston Church to celebrate the centenary of the Scouting movement.

The bench, located at the entrance to the church grounds and featuring an inscribed plaque to mark the presentation, was received on behalf of the congregation by church warden, Trevor Silverman. He said: "It is a lovely gesture and we would like to thank the Cubs and their leaders for their kind donation."

The bench was sourced and assembled by parent Chris Rogers and helping towards its cost was a donation from David Crockford, husband of Group Scout Leader Mo Crockford.

Seen sitting on the bench with Mr. Silverman is Cub James May, while looking on are Cubs Harry Baxter, Daniel Murray, Alex Brace, Thomas Griffiths, Ethan Webster, Matthew Webb, Ben Sheldon, GSL Mo Crockford, parent helper Claire Webb and Duke of Edinburgh student Glen Conbeer.

The group is desperately in need of more leaders so that they can expand and possibly re-start Beavers and Scouts.
