Actor Russell Crowe enjoyed a merry old night out on a break from filming Robin Hood at Freshwater West, when he and fellow cast members dined at the Carew Inn.

Crowe must have been in good spirits over how well that day's scenes had gone, as not only did he leave a tip of over £300 behind the bar, he also treated punters to an impromptu concert, by picking up his guitar and belting out a few tunes with help from ER actor Scott Grimes, who plays Will Scarlet in the film, and X-Men star Kevin Durand, who takes on the role of Little John.

With a guessing game being played amongst locals as to where Crowe had been residing during the filming stint, rumours had circulated that he was flying in and out of Windsor by helicopter, every day, but it seems that the Aussie actor was booked into The Grove country house in Molleston, but elected to stay on the beach site of the filming.

However, director Ridley Scott and his wife did indeed enjoy a two-week stay at The Grove, along with some of the movie's big name stars, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt and Mark Strong.
