Manorbier continued their early season form with an eight wicket victory away at Hundleton.
Winning the toss, Manorbier elected to field on a wicket that looked promising for the bowlers. Paceman Phil Kidney had an early success - a sharp slip catch taken by Jeremy Smith saw S. Williams back in the pavilion closely followed by M. Allen also taken by Smith off the bowling of Jon Hughes.
A partnership between captain J. "Taffy" Williams and J. Tysoe started to build slowly but both were frustrated by accurate bowling from Trevor Stanley who bowled 12 overs for 17 runs with five maidens and who eventually picked up the wicket of Tysoe (36).
Jeremy Smith also had a good day with the ball, picking up five middle order wickets including one athletic caught and bowled. It was a quality all round team performance from Manorbier-only one extra (a leg bye) was conceded.
"Keeper Phil Lawrence was in good form behind the stumps, supported by some good out fielding from Will Hughes, Mark Meyrick (with a run out), Justin Evans and Neil Powling.
Hundleton were restricted to 96 to 9 for their allotted overs.
In Manorbier's reply Hundleton had an early success - Steve Flook bowled by Neil Arthur, but captain Mike May and Neil Powling accumulated steadily putting on 53 for the second wicket.
Taffy Williams had Powling LBW for 18, which brought Jon Hughes to the wicket He soon got into his stride hitting a quick fire 22. Manorbier passed the Hundleton total in the 34th over, with May (44 not out) picking off the winning runs.
