The Pembrokeshire Association of Cricket Coaches are preparing another stimulating winter programme of coach education courses, Dragon coaching and county squad training which will help prepare the coaches and young cricketers of Pembrokeshire for the demanding, but enjoyable, times ahead. They commence with the following coach education course for new coaches. New UK Level 1 Course (cost £180), tutor Peter Brett - CBW coach education co-ordinator: Sunday, November 19, 9 am to 4 pm - Tenby Leisure Centre; Sunday, November 26; 9 am to 4 pm - Tenby Leisure Centre; Sunday, December 3, 9 am to 4 pm - Tenby Leisure Centre. In addition, a Life Support Course will be held at Haverfordwest CC on Wednesday, November 22, 6.30 to 9.30 pm, while a Child Protection Evening will also be held at the same venue the following Wednesday, November 29, also from 6.30 to 9.30pm Course application forms are available from the course convenor, Ray Kane, at 14 St. Davids Road, Pembroke (te. 01646 682106), to whom they should be returned with a deposit of £100. Cheques should be made payable to The Cricket Board Of Wales (CBW) and sent to arrive by Monday, September 4. Places on the courses are limited, so an early application is advisable. A Community Chest grant application form can be obtained by contacting Mr. Alan Jones at County Hall (tel. 01437 776191, or e-mailing [email protected]">[email protected]). It is essential that these forms are completed and returned to County Hall by Monday, September 11, in order to comfortably meet the next Community Chest panel meeting, as grants cannot be given in retrospect.
