The distinctive pink ribbon logo of Breast Cancer Care has inspired the busy fingers of Pembrokeshire quilting enthusiasts.

The Narberth-based Landsker Quilters got to work to create 24 cushions and a wall-hanging for Withybush Hospital's Breast Clinic.

These have now been received on behalf of the clinic by Sister Ellen Lynch and Sister Buddug Roberts.

Members of the group all worked on the cushions, while the hanging was made by Ellen Repton and quilted by Norah Squibbs.

A donation was also made to the clinic in lieu of cushions which had been sold.

The Landsker Quilters, who meet every Monday, from 7 to 9 pm, in the Balcony Room of Narberth's Queens Hall, have also made a number of small quilts for premature babies at Glangwili Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit.

The group's Vera Robinson thanked everyone for their efforts and added: "It has given everyone a great deal of pleasure to use their quilting skills to help such good causes."
