A group of craftsmen and women, all members of the Pembrokeshire Craft Makers organisation, are holding a selling exhibition of their work in the Community Hall, Laugharne, from May 26, to June 2, the first time these craftspeople have held a week's long exhibition in Laugharne.

For many years they have been holding very successful exhibitions all round the county especially in the north.

On display and for sale at very realistic prices for such individual and unique workmanship will be products from wood turner Tony Shell and Ken and Valerie Bedford with their freehand pyrographic work, and Jo and Leigh Rhian showing distinctive lace bobbins and bowls, stitched collages and cards by Sylvie McCracken and papermache object d'art by Juanita Humphries, original wildlife paintings by artist Joanna Heneker, while Kevin and Polly Brown have decorative slate mirrors. Potters Carol Brinton-Thomas and Duncan Browning will have their work on show. Carol's pots now feature village scenes in relief on functional ware, Duncan Browning makes individual indoor water features.

Annette Gardener will bring along her unique enamel jewellery, while Jon Woodhouse makes suncatchers and unusual painted glass and wooden items. Joy Owen will be exhibiting her exclusive suede and leather fashion accessories.

All this craftwork together in one exhibition will prove to be a feast for all eyes and it is hoped that this will be the first of many craft exhibitions in Laugharne or other venues in this part of the county by these talented craftsmen and women.

Entry to the hall will be free and the show will be open every day from 10 am to 5 pm.
