New craft for the St. Johns Craft Group at Tenby on Monday afternoon was painting designs on glasses or acetate sheets. After the demonstration, the ladies separated to do the craft that appealed the most. Some continued with the painting, others chose to make decoupage cards, or patchwork, knitting, jewellery making, and serviette folding for dinner parties, or just to watch and chat. With an afternoon tea of contributed brownies and raspberries (better than the usual biscuits!), the two hours from 2 pm had just flown by, with the ladies expressing pleasure at the items they were taking home, and the new knowledge gained. This group is not just for ladies, sometimes men come who are interested in painting, pottery, etc. All are welcome, every Monday between 2 and 4 pm for a donation of £2. It is a great opportunity to make new friends, to chatter, and to learn. Anyone with any kind of craft to demonstrate is also welcome.
