A SAUNDERSFOOT woman has been fined and ordered to pay compensation after pleading guilty to assault by beating in an incident that took place in the village on Sunday, August 3.
Forty-three-year-old Amanda Lewis, of Stammers Road, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 5.
Lewis pleaded guilty of a charge of assault by beating, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988. The charge related an incident at Saundersfoot two days earlier.
She was ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a fine of £120, the court having taken her guilty plea into account.
Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were £85, plus a surcharge of £48 to fund victim services. An application was made for benefit deductions.
