A student from Bristol has been fined in court after admitting a drugs possession charge in Pembroke.

Twenty-five-year-old Magdalena Roza Idzik, of Stoke Gifford, pleaded guilty to possessing 20.52 grams of cannabis resin, when she appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Ellie Morgan told the court that police officers executed a misuse of drugs search warrant at an address in Pembroke, on July 4 of last year, and 24 individual wraps of cannabis were seized.

Defence solicitor Matthew Greenish told the court that his client used a wrap a day of the drug, as she suffered a problem with her wrists, due to working for a number of years as a therapist and masseuse.

Magistrates fined Ms Idzik £80 for the offence and ordered her to pay costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

They also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
