An outdoor activities instructor from Pembrokeshire will go on trial in August after denying inciting sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy.

Fifty-four-year-old Sean Golder is accused of arranging sexual activity with a child between March 7 and March 11 of this year; with the offence alleged to have taken place in Carmarthen.

The defendant is further charged with communicating with the child under 16 in a sexual nature; and of attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child under 16 between the same dates.

Golder also faces two additional charges of being in possession of a hunting knife and a lock knife in the Morrisons supermarket car park in Carmarthen, on March 10, 2023.

Golder, who is a veteran of 22 years’ service in the Royal Fusiliers, appeared before Swansea Crown Court on Friday morning (April 14) where he entered not guilty pleas to all five charges.

The Court confirmed that a sexual enhancing substance allegedly discovered inside Golder’s works van on the day of his arrest has been sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Golder was remanded in custody, with his trial scheduled to commence on August 29.
