​A Pembrokeshire man has been charged by police in connection to an incident involving a suspicious package.

Fifty-eight-year-old Lee Moody, of St Dogmaels, has been charged with that on December 21, 2022 at Guildford, Surrey, he dispatched by means of post an article namely a homemade mocked explosive device with the intention of inducing in another a belief that the said article was likely to explode or ignite and thereby cause personal injury or damage to property.

Devon and Cornwall Police said that homes in Flushing were evacuated in the early hours of Sunday, January 8 to reports of a suspicious package at one of the homes in the road, with The Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team contacted to investigate the package.

Police confirmed that officers were notified to reports of a suspicious package on Trefusis Road in Flushing, near Falmouth.

Mr. Moody entered a not guilty plea when the case was heard at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 11.

The defendant was remanded into custody, with a trial date set for Swansea Crown Court on February 10.
