A HAVERFORDWEST driver who drove without due care and attention while over the alcohol limit has been banned.
Andrew Ash, from Spittal, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 16, pleaded guilty to driving a Honda Civic on Dale Road on May 23 after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath was more than twice the legal limit.
The 33-year-old was disqualified for 22 months, reduced by 22 weeks provided a course is completed by September 13, 2027. He was fined £120.
For the additional offence of driving without due care and attention, there was no separate penalty, but his driving record was endorsed (no points).
A £48 surcharge was added to costs of £85.
