A BEGELLY man has admitted assaulting a woman in the Pembrokeshire village at the beginning of May this year.

Thomas Baker, of New Road, Begelly, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 14.

The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to assault by beating, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act1988. On or about May 1, 2026 he assaulted a female victim at Begelly by beating her.

His guilty plea being taken into account, Baker was made subject to a two-year restraining order and a 12-month community order, with rehabilitation activity up to a maximum of 10 days and 100 hours of unpaid work.

He pays compensation totalling £300 as well as court costs of £350, plus a £114 surcharge.
