Yvonne (Mandy) Nicholl, of Cartref, Penally, founder of the Pembrokeshire Pure Vegetarian Campaign, has completed the British School of Yoga Vegetarian/Vegan Nutritional Therapy Course of nine test papers of 10 questions each. Yvonne passed all of the set of tests, covering topics such as definitions of vegetarians, history of the diet and all related information such as digestion, fibre, food combining and protein. Aged 45, Yvonne has been a pure vegetarian for three years. She does not smoke and eats a fruit/plant based diet, much of which is raw. Her children are basic vegetarians. She has a thorough knowledge of cooking and accepts nutrition of today is an acquirement not at all a requirement. As she puts it, "some people will not see a vegetarian diet especially as strict as mine as nothing short of inferior." Within the next few weeks, Yvonne is taking the exam to gaining a diploma on the subject. She plans then to study further into complementary health, and plans to give lectures within the county about holistic lifestyles.
