A couple who were married at Manorbier 60 years ago will be meeting up with family and friends in the village this month to mark their Diamond wedding anniversary.

Brian and Christine Wheeler got married at Manorbier Church on September 19, 1959, after the couple met when Brian was stationed in the village as part of his national service.

Brian and Christine (who was born and raised in Manorbier) will be returning to the area as they regularly do from their home in East Wittering West Sussex to join family and friends for an evening of celebration at Manorbier Castle on Saturday, August 17.

Their wedding was featured in the Tenby Observer on September 25, 1959 (see cutting attached).

Daughter Jacquie and son-in -law Trevor, son Ian and daughter-in-law Christine, and son David, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren and and friends will be sending much love to the couple to mark the occasion.
