NORTH to South with recent winners of the Pembrokeshire Lottery. Vicki Dyer won £2,000 with number 6006 on April 11. Vicki, recently retired from Pembroke Dock Job Centre, lives in Pembroke with partner James - a landscape gardener. She has three children, Daniel, Philip and Dina - who have all now left home to pursue their careers in various parts of the country.

The timing of the win was opportune as the couple were in the process of purchasing a new car and the win has certainly helped with this.

Up to Fishguard for the winners of the draw for April 18 - Basil and Jacinta Griffiths, of Smyth Street, who won with number 1983, having been keen supporters of the Lottery since December, 1993.

The win came as a lovely welcome home to them as they returned from a short holiday in Ireland to a letter informing them of their windfall.

Now that Basil has retired as a builder, the couple look after granddaughter Ffion. They have three children themselves, with only son Robert at home as he is a pupil at Fishguard High school.

The winner for May 2 was Patricia Scourfield - owner of Paddles Nightclub in Pembroke. Coincidently, Patricia was a recipient of the loan assistance offered by the Pembrokeshire Lottery when developing the nightclub project; she is, therefore, a keen supporter of the scheme. Her own project now provides employment for 20 people each weekend.

The £2,000 - won with number 4575 - will be ploughed back into the family run business as it came at a "spot on time for another idea which regulars will have to watch out for."

In addition to being a successful businesswoman, Patricia is married to Gordon and they have three children (all married) and three grandchildren one of whom, Alex, is pictured celebrating his grandmother's win.
