With an anticipated attendance in excess of 90,000 when the gates closed last night the three-day Pembrokeshire Agricultural Show remains unchallenged as one of the top visitor attractions in Wales and, for the farming public, second only to the Royal Welsh event. The very busy programme, covering a huge range of activities, was voted a huge success, the only fear being the County Council are said to have its sights focused on enlarging the airfield and urging the Society to relocate. An exercise of this magnitude is considered to cost in the region of £80 million and the Society hold leases that will last for another 40 years - it would seem much more viable and much less costly on the public purse to relocate the airfield?
