The Pembrokeshire Referees' Association will be holding their monthly meeting at Neyland Athletic Club this (Friday) evening, kicking off at 7.30 pm.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Eddie King, one of the most experienced FIFA assistant referees in Wales. Eddie will be passing on his experience to local referees, with a view to cup semi-final and final games in the James Williams Pembrokeshire League being played in the next couple of months.

The invitation to attend is extended to any referee in Pembrokeshire, even if they are not members of the association, and is also extended to officials of the league and clubs, including players who may be interested to listen to such an experienced referee and entertaining speaker such as Eddie King.

The association recently took part in the West Wales RA fun quiz at Carmarthen AFC. Eight referees attended the get-together, which also featured teams from Neath, Swansea and officials of the West Wales RA.

Quiz master was former Pembrokeshire official Roger Upward, who currently lives in Swansea. Whilst not lifting the West Wales quiz shield on behalf of Pembrokeshire, both teams involved had an enjoyable day, with those from the north of the county just edging out their counterparts from the south to claim the unofficial title of the brainiest refs in the county.
