Pembrokeshire County Dance School recently competed in the Welsh Area Medallist Dance Competitions at Chepstow Leisure Centre.
They took part in all branches of dance, with the adjudicator being Mr. Chris Vickers.
The competitions commenced at 10 am with disco, followed by classical, ballroom, modern sequence, Latin and sequence and Latin couples events and team formation events. The age groups start from five years through to senior citizens.
The school was accompanied by nine qualified teachers (fellow, members and associates) covering all sections, the principal of the school also being the liaison officer for the South West Wales Area for the Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance.
The school attained the following results:
Medallists events: 1st placements - 47; 2nd placements - 47; 3rd placements - 38.
Couples events: 3rd placements - 2; 4th placements - 2.
Team events: 1st placements - 2; 2nd placements - 2; 3rd placements - 1.
The Welsh Area Freestyle/Disco Shield was won for the second year running by Pembrokeshire County Dance School.
