On a rain ravaged Saturday, Cresselly have taken over the Division One leadership from Carew as the only Division One game played was at Neyland where Cresselly won by six wickets.
The hard work put in to get the field ready on the Friday and the Saturday morning by the Neyland ground staff paid dividends so that the match could be played.
Neyland recovered from being 47-8 to reach 104 before being bowled out courtesy of a ninth wicket partnership of 37 between Patrick Bellerby with a determined 36 and number ten Patrick Hannon with an invaluable 22.
The Neyland total would have been larger had not four wickets fallen when the team had reached 47.
Teenager Iwan Izzard took 3-9, skipper Simon Cole 3-26 with his off spinners and Stefan Jenkins 2-22.
Cresselly owed much to middle order batsman Adam Chandler in reaching 106-4 as the visitors won by six wickets.
Batting sensibly, Chandler survived a difficult chance to Gary Lloyd at backward square leg just after he had reached double figures and went on to hold things together with a splendid 38no and got the winning runs with a gigantic six over long on.
He had useful support from a number of Cresselly batsmen but Julian Arthur provided the main support by curbing his attacking instincts to score 27 before losing his off stump to Henry Durrant.
On Arthur's dismissal his brother Damian joined Chandler at the crease and the pair avoided any further mishaps.
Patrick Hannon was leading wicket taker for Neyland with 2-33. .
The only other game played to a finish was in Division Six at Fishguard where the visitors Pembroke Dock Seconds were dismissed for 117 as Scott Delaney took 5-32, Gary Delaney 2-27 and Kevin Bowen 2-33.
Nick Daley was the Dock hero as he top scored with 70 including three sixes and six fours supported by Jacob Davies with 24.
Fishguard Seconds were bowled out for 66 in reply despite the efforts of Kevin Bowen with 28.
Nick Daley would have picked up any man of the match award after taking 5-8, Jacob Davies took 3-25 and Daniel Heeps 2-9.
Two other matches started but finished before the tea interval.
The match featuring Narberth Seconds away to Stackpole in Division Three did get underway and Narberth Seconds had reached 92 for no wicket when conditions became too bad to go on playing. Aron Keane had a rapid innings of 62 not out and Andrew Williams provided the ideal foil in with 24 not out
In Division Two , Hook had reached 37-2 away to Carew Seconds before the rain prevented any further play.
Narberth Seconds also began their innings away to Stackpole in Division Three and had reached 92 for no wicket when conditions became too bad to go on playing. Aron Keane had a rapid innings of 62 not out and Andrew Williams provided the ideal foil in with 24 not out
With only one league game left for all of the teams this season, what is the current promotion and relegation situation for local teams?
Carew Seconds have already won the Division Two championship as have Carew Thirds in Division Four.
However the championship that Phil Jones and his team want more than anything for the Carew Club is the Division One championship, so there is all to play for on Saturday when Carew are home to Haverfordwest and Cresselly with a precious lead of three points, are home to Narberth.
To win the title, Carew face a hard but not impossible task to defeat Haverfordwest and pick up 30 points in the hope that whatever happens at Cresselly when play starts against Narberth, that if Cresselly win, their arch rivals do not have more than 26 points.
Relegation favourites Lawrenny could in theory catch Herbrandston but are more likely to be saved from the drop if the Cresselly Seconds team win a testing away fixture at Llangwm in Division Two.
Pembroke will be relegated from Division Two and their place will be taken by Pembroke Dock who will be promoted possibly along with Stackpole, who are 15 points behind the Dock in the table or by Crymych who also have a faint chance of promotion.
Hundleton looked to be doomed in Division Three whilst Kilgetty will join Carew Thirds in being promoted from Division Four.
Pembroke Seconds and St Ishmaels Seconds will be relegated from Division Four and their places taken by Cresselly Thirds and Burton Seconds who will move up from Division Five.
St Clears will be promoted from Division Six as champions in their first season back in Pembrokeshire League cricket and could be joined by Pembroke Dock Seconds in Division Five. After denting the promotions hopes of Fishguard Seconds last week, if the Dock team win their home encounter against Camrose and Spittal Seconds in Division Six they could plug the 10 pints gap behind Fishguard Seconds and leap frog over the Fishguard side to gain promotion.
All will be revealed tomorrow!
