Division One

Leaders Carew came close to winning - and losing - their away match at St Ishmaels and in the end may have been relieved to settle for a draw.

Tish recovered from being 99-7 to reach to reach 152-7 after an eighth wicket partnership of 50 between Robbie Thomas (31no) and Paul Palmer (22no).

Earlier Peter Bradshaw had scored 45 and Stewart Kimpton 35. Rhys Davies was the pick of the Carew bowlers with a return of 3-29.

In reply, Carew finished on 147-9 after Andrew Pawlett (5-30) took out most of the early and middle order apart from opener Nick Scourfield (33) and Simon Wood (30).

Rhys Davies (20no) salvaged the game in the end.

Cresselly narrowed the gap at the top with a seven wickets away win at Lawrenny who had scored 169-8 mainly due to a six wicket partnership of 52 between Ian Jenkins (37) and his son Brad (37no).

Richard Harris (3-31) posed problems for the Cresselly batsmen with his movement through the air and was assisted by Morgan Geldenhuys (3-56).

Phil Williams (62) added 86 for the second wicket with skipper Simon Cole (49) when Cresselly replied and Adam Chandler (30no) finished things off with four sixes with some help from Julian Arthur.

Dark horses Narberth had an eight wickets win at home to Herbrandston after dismissing the visitors for 96.

Kyle Quartermaine (3-12) and slow left armer Ian Hughes (3-19) were the main wicket takers as Nathan Banner (32) and Kristan Bennett (29) attempted to shore up the Herbie innings.

Kyle Quartermaine (39no) was also the Narberth star with the bat backed up by Andrew Williams (29) who batted despite receiving a painful mouth injury when fielding.

Haverfordwest scored 214-4 away to Neyland after excellent batting by Simon Holiday (89no) and Karl Rhead (78) supported by Danny Potter (25).

Spinner Phil Davies (3-33) took most of the wickets for Neyland who reached 191-8 in reply with Andrew Miller (45), Gregg Miller (35) and Paul Miller (27) making the innings a family affair.

Avron Roulstone (3-33) did much to halt Neyland's progress.

Whitland were bowled out for 123 at home to Saundersfoot who won by four wickets with a total of 129-6.

Iestyn Scourfield (33) and Kevin Pearce (25) were the main contributors to the total as Danny Caine (3-25) and David Parcell (3-30) took six of the wickets.

Ian Poole 35) showed his experience supported by rising all rounder Nick Cole (24) and Sam Butler (23) when Saundersfoot replied.

Division Two

Lowly Pembroke had a morale boosting first win of the season at home to Llanrhian for whom RV Jones (27no) top scored in a total of 106-9.

Spinner Nigel Phillips (3-17) and Rob Weston (3-34) were the main wicket takers for Pembroke who reached 108-8 in reply after good batting by Rob Weston (40) and Hugh Davies (24).

Matthew Bennett took 4-24 for the visitors.

Leaders Cresselly Seconds had a nine wickets win at home to Whitland Seconds who were dismissed for 60 as Siôn Jenkins took 5-17 and Matthew Morgan 3-22.

Skipper Rhydian Rees hit eight fours in his attacking 32no backed up by Scott Arthur (19no) in a total of 63-1.

Carew Seconds leapfrogged over the visitors Llangwm into second place with a comfortable seven wickets win at home chasing a Llangwm total of 107 all out.

Andrew Harries (31), Chris Thomas (21) and James Lewis (20) were the main contributors to the total as Kerry Waters took 4-31.

Skipper Robert Hicks (52no) led the victory bid with fine support from all rounder Tom Davies (45).

Andrew Harries completed a good match for the visitors with 3-17 in 12 overs.

Division Three

Lamphey caused a big surprise in Division Three with a seven wickets win away to leaders Pembroke Dock after dismissing the home team for 101.

The Dock recovered from being 19-4 due to a fifth wicket partnership of 74 between Peter Kingdom (43) and Scott Griffiths (34).

Grant Cole (3-23) did the early damage and then left arm spinner Andrew Skeels (4-2) ripped through the lower order.

Opener Nic Johnson paved the way for the Lamphey win in his innings of 34.

Hundleton scored 159-8 at home to Narberth Seconds after good batting by Morgan Allen (48), Luke Williams (29) and John Tysoe (26).

Opening bowler Richard Howell took 4-26 and Wayne Howells 3-42.

Kial Keane scored 62 from 47 balls in the Narberth reply including four sixes and five fours supported by Daniel Hughes (30) and Owen Richards (23) in a winning total of 164-6.

Division Four

Leaders Crew Thirds were held to a draw at home to Lawrenny Seconds who reached 136-7 in reply to a Carew total of 233-4.

Christopher Cole hit two sixes and 12 fours in an excellent innings of 112no supported by all rounder Aled Davies (45no) and Haydn Shapcott (41).

The visitors were 92-7 but Phil Cole (30no) and Jonathan Beff (24no) secured the draw and earlier Rhydian Evans (27) and skipper Chris Buckle (22) had scored useful runs.

Pembroke Seconds were dismissed for 130 away to Llangwm Seconds despite the efforts of Colin Kaijaks (45), Jonathan Rogers (37) and Ashley Davies (29).

Openers Jonathan Twigg (54no) and Huw Brock (59no) gave the Llangwm team a ten wickets win.

Second placed Kilgetty notched up their eighth win of the season after dismissing the visitors Neyland Seconds for 116.

Mark Sutton (44) and Martin Jones (39) took the visitors from 13-4 to 110-5 but then wickets fell in quick succession as Duane Reynolds (6-10) triggered the collapse.

In reply, Kilgetty reached 117-5 with Duane Reynolds 39no completing a fine match supported by Jake Marsh (31).

Jay Dunsford picked up early wickets with a return of 3-24 for the Neyland team.

Division Five

Cresselly Thirds maintained their lead at the top of the table after dismissing the visitors Llechryd Seconds for 66 in response to a Cresselly total of 111-9.

Although Kevin Evans took 4-15, skipper Steve Davies (31) and youngster George Wilkins (24) gave the leaders a respectable total.

Although Kevin Evans (39) continued his form, the experienced Phil James (4-12) and Huw Evans (4-28) posed problems for all the other batsmen.

St Florence won by four wickets away to Haverfordwest Fourths who were dismissed for 87 as Ben McDonnell took 6-25.

Matthew Vaughan (23) and Mark Hicks (21no) were the main run scorers for the Haverfordwest team and also took all the wickets with Hicks finishing with 4-42 and Vaughan with 2-38.

McDonnell hit eight fours in an undefeated knock of 39 to cap a fine performance.

Saundersfoot Seconds picked up their second win of the season after amassing a big total of 246-9. Steve Cole was undefeated on 106 after hitting four sixes and 13 fours and had support form Jack Franklin (30) and Roger Stanford (25).

Brynley Toms (5-40) was the pick of the Narberth bowlers.

The visitors were bowled out for 169 in reply with Jack Franklin taking 3-34.

Huw Simpkins had a defiant knock of 47 supported by Sam Mills together with Tom Bevan and Alun Phillips who both scored 25.

Whitland Thirds did well to bowl out the visitors Llangwm Thirds for 136 as Jack Bowen took 4-20.

Filgi Varghese was the mainstay of the Llangwm innings with 70 backed up by Henry Thomas (32).

Although skipper Gwynne Phillips had a fine innings of 56, the Whitland team were bowled out for 112 as Jason Taylor (4-21) and Sean Thomas (4-28) took the wickets.

Division Six

Leaders St Clears had a comfortable nine wickets win away to Camrose and Spittal Seconds after dismissing the home team for 120.

Skipper Andrew Edwards was delighted to win the toss in quite wet conditions but Martyn Tweedie made hay nevertheless in a very hard hitting innings of 93 after being dropped twice.

None of the other Camrose and Spittal batsmen offered resistance to Ceri Jones (4-26) and the home team were dismissed for 120.

Alun Thomas (2-1) claimed the key wicket of Tweedie.

St Clears reached 121-1 after 24 overs after good batting by Craig Weston (55) and Andrew Edwards (51no).

Burton Thirds were bowled out for 109 at home to Pembroke Dock Seconds as Naill Brunton took 5-17 and Lewis Pennington 3-32.

Steve Evans top scored for the Burton team with 26.

In reply the Dock team reached 110-3 with Chris Boyett (44) and Steve Hartley (31).

Lamphey Seconds were bowled out for 89 at home to Stackpole Seconds for whom Robert Davies took 3-15.

Nevertheless the Lamphey team won as Rhys Miller took 4-14 and Giuseppe Tremarco 3-12 and the visitors were dismissed for 62.

No play was possible in the game between Crymych Seconds and Hundleton Seconds because of a wet pitch.
