Division One

Carew have opened up a gap of 17 points at the top of the table over second placed Cresselly following their six wickets win away to Lawrenny.

James Buckle with 72 including three sixes and six fours supported by Steve Lewis with 51, Brad Jenkins with 33, his father Ian with 23 and skipper Hugh Griffiths with 21 set up a Lawrenny total of 223 all out.

For Carew Rhys Davies took three for 46 and all rounder Tim Hicks 3-35.

When Carew were 122-4 at the fall of Simon Wood's wicket for 32, Tim Hicks and Wayne Cannon came together at the crease.

Hicks with a brilliant 90no with five sixes and six fours backed up by Cannon with 40no including two sixes and three fours took Carew to a total of 224-4.

Robert Williams took 2-14 in nine overs.

Whitland had a much needed points boost with a ten wickets win away to Llangwm who were dismissed for 48.

Chris Inward top scored on 19 as Iestyn Scourfield took 4-7 and Matthew Davies 3-6.

Paul Davies with 31no including six fours and David Lee with 16no took Whitland to a total of 49 for no wicket.

Haverfordwest declared at Hook after reaching 220-2 in 43 overs.

Openers Danny Potter and Richard James had a first wicket partnership of 183 with James hitting 119 including 16 fours and Potter 62 before being trapped leg before wicket by Tom Blaxland. Karl Rhead backed up with 22.

Ben Field with a fighting innings of 75 supported by Brennan Martin with 40, Keith James with 34 and Matthew Rowlands with 23 helped Hook reach 198-9.

For the visitors Adam James took 5-59 and there were two wickets each for Simon Williams and Stephen Phillips.

Neyland were bowled out for 145 away to St Ishmaels after Ashley Sutton scored 29 and Paul Murray 27.

Spinner Daniel Flynn took 3-26 and there were two wickets each for Stewart Kimpton, Andrew Williams and Andrew Palmer.

Tish held out for a draw of 136-7 after knocks of 61 by Stewart Kimpton and 46 by Andrew Williams.

Cresselly were dismissed for 160 at home to Narberth after Matthew Johns had taken 4-29.

Opening batsman Phil Williams scored 50, his opening partner Andrew Harris 34 and Damian Arthur 23.

Narberth made a solid start and had reached 45 before opener Wayne Howells was dismissed for 17. Mike Scale went on to score 38, Marc Hughes 24 and Kyle Quartermaine 23.

Spinner Simon Cole took 4-18 for Cresselly.

Division Two

Saundersfoot have moved up to second place after a comprehensive win over Cresselly Seconds who were dismissed for exactly 100 after Saundersfoot had scored 241-6.

Nick Cope had a fine innings of 85 with seven sixes and eight fours for Saundersfoot supported by Danny Caine with 51no from 30 deliveries and Steve Cole with 31.

Although Sam Harts scored 22no and Scott Arthur 21, David Parcell with a 4-20 spell supported by a brace of wickets apiece for Danny Caine, Yannick Parker and Sam Butler gave Saundersfoot a win by a margin of 141 runs.

Carew Seconds have slipped down to third position after being bowled out for 129 at home to Herbrandston.

Skipper Martin Scourfield held things together with 42, all rounder Aled Davies scored 26 and left hander Barry Evans 25.

Paul Hood took 4-35 for the visitors who won by ten wickets upon reaching a total of 133.

Nathan Banner was 59no and Jonathan Bennett 56no.

Pembroke were bowled out for 126 at home to Stackpole despite an innings of 35 by Phil Hay.

Alan Webster took 5-44 for the visitors who won by seven wickets with a total of 130-3.

Andrew Hay was 53no and Josh Davies scored 38. Skipper Nigel Phillips took 2-18 for Pembroke.

In other Division Two matches Burton had a surprise win away to Haverfordwest Seconds who had scored 207-7 before tea. In reply the visitors reached 208-6.

At Fishguard the visitors Johnston scored 218-5 and Fishguard reached 184-8 in reply.

Division Three

Whitland Seconds regained their top of the table position after defeating the visitors Camrose and Spittal by 109 runs.

Young opener Jonathan Thomas with 113 including 20 fours and Meyrick Rowland with 32 put on 134 for the first wicket and later Daniel Newton had a very good innings of 32.

Andrew Loveridge with 35 and David Crane with 26 delayed the inevitable result but Stuart Harris took 3-28 and leg spinner Meyrick Rowland 3-12 supported by Robert Webb with 2-27.

Pembroke Dock were beaten by just one wicket away to Llechryd after being dismissed for 114 and in the process lost their top of the table spot.

The Dock were 50-7 but an eighth wicket partnership of 47 boosted the total following the efforts of Julian Edwards with 44 and Scott Griffiths with 17no. Andy Gaunt took 5-26 for Llechryd, who won with five balls of the match remaining. Openers Josh Ward and Andy Gaunt both scored 23 and the experienced Steve Smith steered Llechryd home with 38no as Llechryd reached 115-9.

David Dunfee ripped out the middle order with a 4-14 stint.

Lamphey won by seven wickets at home to Hundleton after restricting the visitors to 102-9. Jonathan Williams had a fighting innings of 32 as left arm spinner Andrew Skeels took 3-32 and Steve Vale 3-28.

Lamphey reached 104-3 in reply after 22 overs. Nick Shelmadine scored 27, opener Hywel Gibbs 24 and Peter McGilloway 21no.

In a close finish at Narberth the home team Narberth Seconds came close to overtaking a Llanrhian total of 168-9.

Jack Jones with 36, Ben D Jones with 27 and Ben Jones with 26 were the main contributors to the Llanrhian total as Richard Howell took 4-42 and Mike Williams 3-49.

Narberth needed 20 to win off the last three overs with two wickets left but settled for a draw at 156-9. Ben Hughes scored 27, Mike Williams 25no and earlier openers Andrew Williams and Mike Johns scored 24 and 22 respectively in a first wicket partnership of 22.

Ben Jones took 4-26 and Gary Reynolds 3-20 for the visitors.

Division Four

Neyland Seconds were 221-4 at home to Pembroke Seconds. Jay Dunsford played the big innings for his team with 97 supported by Stephen Murray with 35 and Gareth Virgo with 28.

Charlie Allen took 3-61 for Pembroke Seconds who reached 122-6 in reply.

Rob Weston with 90no dominated the Pembroke innings and the next highest scorer was skipper John Harries with 13no.

Andrew Jones took 4-13 for the Neyland team.

Opener Barry Phillips had a fine innings of 91 before being bowled by Anthony Bevan for Lawrenny Seconds at Kilgetty.

He hit two sixes and 14 fours and the major support came from Jonathan Beff with 22.

In reply Kilgetty were bowled out for 151. Anthony Bevan followed up his two wickets to top score with 73 before being bowled by John Fuller after he hit two sixes and nine fours.

Mike Beynon with 21 and opener Steve Flook with 23 both chipped in but a spell of 3-29 by Stephen Rees proved to be decisive in a match where there were run outs.

Division Five

Carew Thirds remain top of the table despite being bowled out for 88 away to Camrose and Spittal Seconds.

Matthew Whitfield scored 27 and Aled Thomas took 3-21 for the home team.

Carew Thirds won by 53 runs after bowling out Camrose and Spittal Seconds for 35. Kerry Waters took 5-9 and Matthew Whitfield 3-17.

St Florence Seconds are still in with a chance of promotion after a six wickets win away to Cresselly Thirds on the ground that both teams share.

Cresselly Thirds were dismissed for 93 despite the efforts of Nick Jones who scored 25. Justin Evans took 3-16 and Neil Powling 3-19 for the Saints.

Ben McDonnell with 30 and Peter Hall with 26 set up the win for St Florence who reached 94-4. Huw Evans picked up two wickets for the Cresselly team.

Mid table Saundersfoot Seconds held on for a draw at Llanrhian by reaching 116-8 in response to a Llanrhian total of 155-4.

Opener Andrew Leese with 58no and Richard Reed with 32 were the main scorers for the Llanrhian team.

Fifteen year old opening batsman Sam Franklin followed up his two wickets by scoring 52no with six fours as Robert Jenkins took 3-38 and the experienced David Hamilton 2-22.

Division Six

Narberth Thirds had an exciting two wickets win away to Stackpole Seconds chasing a Stackpole total of 81 all out.

The Stackpole team only fielded 8 players as three were prevented form reaching the ground because of a traffic accident.

Openers Lewis Wilkes and Phil Tallett had a first wicket stand of 46 with Wilkes scoring 29 but wickets fell at regular intervals as Alun Phillips took 3-27 and Tim Mills 2-21.

A seventh wicket partnership of 28 between Owen Richards with 26no and Jordan Howell with 15 was instrumental in the visitors reaching 84-8 as Phil Tallett took 3-16 and James Adie 2-13.

An innings of 65 by Paul Edwards and a knock of 50no by Steve Williams set up a Hundleton total of 239-7 at home to Lamphey Seconds who were bowled out for 42 in reply.

Paul Edwards took 5-3 and David Pratt 3-15.
