Division One
Unfortunately, the Division One match of the day between Carew and Cresselly only lasted nine overs before rain brought an end to proceedings. At that stage, Cresselly were 34 for 1 with Simon Cole on 17 not out.
Earlier, Andrew Harris was leg before wicket to Wayne Canton for four.
All of the Division One matches which were played were interrupted at some stage through rain, as was the case at Narberth where the visitors St. Ishmaels amassed a total of 230 for 3.
Skipper Peter Bradshaw and Andrew Palmer gave the visitors the ideal start in their opening stand of 101. It was ended when Peter Bradshaw was bowled by Ollie Cook for 55, but Palmer was then joined by Jonathan Pawlett and the pair added 61 for the second wicket to steer Tish to a total of 230 for 3.
Palmer scored 63 before falling leg before wicket to Ben Quartermaine and Pawlett scored 60 supported by Andrew Williams with 30.
No less than five Narberth batsmen reached double figures in the reply, but three, skipper Marc Hughes, Ian Hughes and Joe Allan, were each dismissed for 10. Opener Thomas Richard fell for 13 and Ollie Cook for 14.
Andrew Palmer had a day to remember as he did the bulk of the damage with the ball. His spell of 5 for 17, backed up by 2 for 12 from James Salter reduced Narberth to a total of 81 all out.
At Lawrenny, the visitors Hook were dismissed for 102 after 29 overs.
Opener Jamie Phelps scored 20, his partner Brennan Lay 16, but the only other batsman in double figures was David Petrie with 17.
James Buckle and spinner Ian Jenkins ripped the heart out of the Hook innings in their respective nine over spells as both took 3 for 20. Earlier, paceman Robert Williams took 2 for 19.
Although Andrew Cole senior was bowled first ball of the innings by Andrew Thomas and Lawrenny were soon 27 for 2, an unbroken third wicket partnership of 77 between James Buckle and Simon Cole gave Lawrenny an eight wickets win.
Buckle ended with 66 not out, including three 6s and seven 4s, with his new cricket bat, and Simon Cole supported well with 23 not out.
Neyland were bowled out for 120 at Haverfordwest, having at one time been 53 for no wicket. For the second week on the trot, skipper Adrian Griffiths did the damage with his 4 for 19 spell.
The experienced Phil Sutton was 34 not out for Neyland and earlier Greg Miller reached 33. With a side of the batting strength of Haverfordwest, the total did not pose enough of a challenge, although the Town were made to fight for their runs.
An unbroken third wicket partnership between Phil Kirkby and Karl Rhead took Haverfordwest to an eight wickets victory after Richard James was dismissed for 22 and Danny Potter for 27.
The powerful left-handed Kirkby ended with 36 not out and vice-captain Karl Rhead was 34 not out.
Spinner Gary Lloyd took 2 for 26 for the visitors. Unfortunately, no play was possible in the match between Pembroke and Whitland.
Division Two
Only one match involving local clubs was completed in Division Two as Saundersfoot's match at Stackpole was the victim of the weather, as was the game at Burton where Carew Seconds were due to play.
At Lamphey, the visitors Johnston scored 134 for 6. Gary Stephens held the innings together before being caught and bowled by Paul White for 42 and Lee Sutton was 20 not out.
Steven Vale had a break from golf to play for Lamphey and bowled 12 overs without a break to take 2 for 24, while Hayden Cole chipped in with 2 for 33.
In reply, Lamphey were given a good start by skipper Robert Mathias and vice-captain Hywel Gibbs in an opening partnership of 51.
It ended when Gibbs played over a full length ball from Lee Sutton on 29, but Mathias went on to score 18 not out from 110 balls, hitting 11 fours in the process, as he added 84 for the second wicket in tandem with Paul White, who provided perfect support in his innings of 15 not out.
Division Three
For the second week in succession, teenager Scott Nelson helped his Whitland team draw the match with the last pair together.
On Saturday he was playing for Whitland Seconds at home to Fishguard and in the company of another youngster, Iestyn Scourfield, he helped Whitland Seconds salvage a draw.
Earlier, Fishguard had reached 130 for 2.
At first, batting was a little difficult and David Haynes, with a solid 22, and Adam Raymond, with 17, gave the visitors a steady start, before Jonathan Strawbridge with 42 not out and Nigel Morgan with 40 not out increased the tempo.
In reply, Whitland Seconds reached 107 for 9. Darren Rees scored 23 before being run out, Martin Thomas 20 and Shaun Lynch 14.
For the Fishguard team, both Jonathan Strawbridge and Nigel Morgan showed their all-round qualities and Strawbridge finished with 3 for 24 and Morgan with figures of 2 for 20.
Manorbier were 11 for no wicket at home to Burton Seconds when the game was called off and at Maenclochog the visitors, Narberth Seconds, had reached six without loss from 12 overs, thanks to some grafting by Bob Simons and Chris Richards, before the rain made play impossible for the afternoon.
Division Four
Pembroke Dock are the current division four leaders, despite losing away to St. Ishmaels Seconds by three wickets.
The Dock were bowled out for exactly 100. Mark Davies top scored with 18, supported by all- rounder John Davies with 17, Nick Daley with 14 and skipper Peter Kingdom with 13.
Under 13 Welsh international spinner Andrew Salter bowled extremely well to take 5 for 25, supported by Gareth Cheshire with 2 for 17.
The Dock put up a great fight, but an innings of 19 not out by Andrew Salter after Mark Davies had scored 24 and Robert Cockburn 23 took the Tish team to 101 for 7.
John Davies took 3 for 20, spinner Jason Coles 2 for 26 and John Camani picked up his first wicket for the Pembroke Dock first team.
Cresselly seconds were going well at home to Pembroke Dock and scored 41 without a wicket from seven overs when play was called off for the day.
Teenager Scott Arthur was 20 not out and his cousin Julian 14 not out.
No play was possible at Kilgetty where surface water run-off from a highway drainage problem had made the outfield too dangerous for the club to play the match between Kilgetty and Lawrenny Seconds.
In addition, no play was possible at Burton, where Lamphey seconds were scheduled to play Burton Seconds.
Division Five
Carew Thirds had a comfortable seven wickets win at home to Stackpole Seconds after the visitors had been restricted to 77 for 4 in 35 overs.
David Hunter was 27 not out and John Evans scored 21. Teenager Tom Davies was 21 not out when the Carew team reached a winning total of 80 for 3, and earlier David Rees had scored 23.
Phil Tallett took 2 for 11 in his five-over spell. Whitland Thirds were unable to get their innings going in the away match against Camrose and Spittal Seconds.
Teenager Iwan Bevan scored 15 and the experienced Dawood Parker 11 and they were the only two batsmen in double figures as David Maddocks took 4 for 5, Gavin Leggitt 2 for 13 and Andy Loveridge 2 for 20.
Gelly James with 21 not out set up an eight wickets win for Camrose and Spittal Seconds and David Maddocks followed up his fine bowling spell to score 14.
No play was possible at Hook where St. Florence were due to play an away match against Hook Seconds.
Division Six
Saundersfoot had the better of the local derby against Kilgetty Seconds, with Chris Hawkes playing an important part in proceedings.
He was the leading scorer in the Saundersfoot innings with 37, including six 4s, supported by teenager Grant Hardy with 22 not out and another teenager Toby Smith with 17.
Thirty-four of the runs in the total came from extras. The visitors bowled consistently, with Rob Beynon taking 3 for 32, Richard Gwyther 2 for 26 and Jack Bevan 2 for 29.
In reply, Kilgetty Seconds were bowled out for 86, with Chris Hawkes returning figures of 7 for 56, supported by Joe Kidney with 2 for 15.
Josh Bevan kept his wicket intact with a fighting knock of 26 not out and the other batsmen in double figures were Duane Rossiter with 16 and Jake Marsh with 11.
An inexperienced Narberth Thirds team suffered a big defeat at home to Herbrandston Seconds, who totalled 206 for 6 declared.
Fifteen-year-old Nathan Banner scored 106 not out with a six and 20 fours, supported by James Lewis with 35.
Geraint Nicholas took 2 for 17 for Narberth Thirds. Eight of the Narberth team were under 18 and found it difficult to cope with the bowling of Mike Speering, who took 4 for 15 so that Narberth Thirds were dismissed for 56.
Wicket-keeper Lee Scott, a newcomer to the team, was 10 not out. No play was possible at Pembroke Dock, where Pembroke Dock Seconds were due to entertain Stackpole Thirds in the local derby.
