Division One
The Division One match of the day at Cresselly ended in a draw with Cresselly reaching a total of 142 for 7 in reply to a Carew total of 185 for 6. All-rounder Simon Wood top scored for the visitors with 71, including a six and seven 4s, before being run out in the last over and he received good support, with Tim Hicks and Phil Jones both scoring 26, Robert Hicks 23 and Brian Hall 20. Cresselly skipper Lyn Richards took 3 for 24 and Richard Harris 2 for 45. Cresselly opener Julian Arthur was caught by Tim Hicks off the bowling of Steve Ive for 27, but Cresselly were going well during a second wicket partnership of 53 between Lyn Richards and 16- year-old Andrew Harris. The teenager played some delightful shots off both front and back foot in his innings of 26, which included five 4s, before being bowled by spinner John Canton, and Lyn Richards played over the top of a ball bowled by Robert Scourfield after scoring 35. The fall of the two wickets effectively ended the Cresselly challenge, despite a typically pugnacious innings of 20 from Ryan Lewis. John Canton took 3 for 36 in a controlled spell of spin bowling, supported by Robert Scourfield with 2 for 36. Narberth made the long journey to St. Ishmaels and were up against it in the field as Tish reached a commanding total of 210 for 2. Jonathan Pawlett and Peter Bradshaw had a first wicket stand of 110, before Bradshaw was caught by Ceri Jones off the bowling of Oliver Cook for 32, but Pawlett went on to score 113, including four 6s and 11 fours, off 133 balls, before giving a return catch to Wayne Howells. Steven Williams helped Pawlett put on 71 for the second wicket and Williams was later joined by Andrew Palmer. Both batsmen were undefeated at the end of the innings, with Williams on 35 and Palmer on 20. Narberth started steadily, with opener Tom Richards scoring 25 and Richard Adams 27, followed by 15 from Mike Scale. However, the innings fell apart and it was left to Ben Hughes and Nick Evans to hold firm at the end to secure a draw with the Narberth total on 129 for 9. Robbie Thomas took 3 for 17 and Jonathan Pawlett followed up his excellent batting to take 3 for 28, with spinner Steven Williams ending on 2 for 17. Whitland defeated the visitors Lawrenny by the comfortable margin of 62 runs after building up a total of 202 for 5. Skipper Paul Webb and another left-hander Paul Davies added 136 for the second wicket after David Lee had been bowled by Robert Williams without scoring. Webb scored 72, including two 6s and seven 4s, before giving a return catch to Robert Williams, and Davies looked set to score a century until falling to a catch by Simon Cole off the bowling of spinner Phil Cole for 81, an innings which included two sixes and 11 fours. Edward John kept the scoreboard ticking along in his undefeated innings of 26. Robert Williams took 3 for 27 for the visitors who were bowled out for 140 after the match had looked to be heading for a draw. Simon Cole scored 47, Christian Phillips 23, with both Andrew Cole senior and Stephen Cole scoring 16. Skipper Paul Webb and Rawhitti Williams caused the lower order collapse, with Webb ending with 4 for 13 from 12 accurate overs and Williams finishing on 2 for 5 from three overs. The Whitland victory was understood to be the first win over Lawrenny at Whitland in the league for a period of over 20 years. Haverfordwest continue to lead the Division One table after having a nerve-jangling four wickets win away to lowly Burton. Excellent bowling by paceman Simon Williams, who took 4 for 27, supported by Stephen Phillips with 4 for 41 and spinner Mathew Johns with 2 for 41, resulted in Burton being bowled out for 134. Mike Venables was the leading scorer with 40, supported by Richard Hayman with 20. Haverfordwest lost their first four wickets for just 17 runs, with two wickets each falling to Kevin Roberts and John Venables. However, David Davies and Stephen Phillips combined in a rearguard action and added 46 for the fifth wicket before Phillips was dismissed for 20. Davies went on to score 61 not out, including 11 fours, in a match-winning innings and received supported initially from Huw Scriven with 10 and then from Mathew Johns with 16 not out, to take Harfat to a winning total of 137 for 6. Lamphey were bowled out for just 63 away to an impressive Neyland outfit. Nick Johnson top scored with 17 before being bowled by Ian Charles and the only other batsmen in double figures were Gary Nicholas with 13 and Ian Kerrison with 11. Spinner Phil Davies, who took five wickets against Lamphey earlier in the season, finished with 5 for 16 to bring his league tally to 29 to date, supported by Ian Charles with 2 for 18. Although the Lamphey bowlers kept the runs in check, Neyland won by eight wickets after 22 overs upon reaching 66 for 2. Sean Hannon and Paul Murray were both 17 not out and earlier Greg Miller had a breezy innings of 13, before being caught off a skier by wicketkeeper Alan Lewis off the bowling of Grant Cole, who ended with 2 for 25. Sean Hannon had a good all-round day for the Neyland team as he picked up two stumpings and a catch in the Lamphey innings.
Division Two
Division Two leaders Hook had a comfortable 54 runs win away to Carew Seconds after a rather patchy innings of 158 before being bowled out. The visitors were in a spot of trouble at 73 for 7, but not for the first time were rescued by lower order batsman Andrew Thomas, who added 62 for the eighth wicket in tandem with Mathew Holder, who was dismissed for 37. Thomas also went on to scoring 37, including a six and four 4s, and earlier Jamie Phelps scored 20 and Mathew Rowlands 11. Wayne Griffiths also reached double figures batting at number 10 in his knock of 12. Carew skipper Kerry Waters took 4 for 26, Seb Palin 2 for 19 and Mathew Phillips 2 for 38. Carew Seconds were bowled out for 104 in reply. Batting at number nine, Nick Cope was the leading scorer with 21, supported by number 11 Seb Palin with 14 not out, opener Adam Hughes with 17, Kerry Waters with 12 and Jeremy Griffiths with 11. Sion Jenkins took 4 for 28 for the visitors and three other bowlers picked up a brace of wickets as Ross Martin took 2 for 17, Wayne Griffiths 2 for 26 and Andrew Thomas 2 for 34. Pembroke travelled to Fishguard, who reached a total of 183 for 6. Adam Raymond scored 71 of the runs, backed up by Nigel Morgan with 35 and Aston Villa footballer Mark Delaney with 28. Gwyn Griffiths took 3 for 45 for the visitors and Kevin Jenkins 2 for 38. Pembroke got close, but not quite close enough, to the Fishguard total in a battling innings of 175 for 8. Daniel Scourfield had an aggressive knock of 55, backed up by a solid 31 from Barry Evans and an attractive 27 not out from Kevin Jenkins. Gary Strawbridge took 3 for 42 for the Fishguard team. Saundersfoot's home match against Llangwm was a victim of the weather. In other Division Two matches, Haverfordwest Seconds won by six wickets at home to Stackpole, who scored 138 for 8, and Llanrhian won by five wickets at home to Johnston, who were bowled out for 103.
Division Three
Manorbier moved into second place in the table after a convincing win away to Lamphey Seconds. A superb knock of 117 by Jeremy Smith enabled Manorbier to reach a total of 201 for 5, with support from Keith May, who scored 19, and Steve Flook with 12. Gareth Scourfield held on to a return catch to dismiss Smith and finished with 2 for 47. Jeremy Smith showed his all-round qualities by taking 4 for 17, supported by Justin Evans with 2 for 30, as Lamphey Seconds were bowled out for 130. Gareth Scourfield scored 37, Peter McGilloway 25 not out and Jonathan Matthias 22. Play was abandoned after four overs at Camrose and Spittal after Pembroke Dock openers Peter Kingdom and Peter Jones had taken the total to 17. No play was possible at Narberth, where Narberth Seconds were home to Maenclochog. Hundleton travelled to Llechryd and were dismissed for 127 with three balls of the innings remaining. John Tysoe scored 35, Scott Arthur 24 and Stephen Williams 23. Steve Smith took 3 for 17 for Llechryd, backed up by James Heneker with 3 for 28 and skipper Steve Curran 2 for 5. Llechryd won by six wickets on reaching 129 for 4. Steve Smith scored 40, including four 4s and two 6s, backed up by Steve Curran with 28, Duane Williams with 26 and teenager Josh Ward with 22.
Division Four
Whitland Seconds won by eight wickets away to Pembroke Seconds, who were bowled out for 84. Experienced opener Hugh Davies scored 38, supported by Paul White with 12. Skipper Stuart Harries took 5 for 32 for the visitors and Jonathan Thomas took 3 for 4. An opening stand of 44 between Peter Wright and Jonathan Thomas prepared the way for the Whitland win and a total of 85 for 2. Thomas ended with 22 and Wright with 21 and the good work was continued as Mathew Davies scored 18 not out and Justin Watson 16 not out. Lee Jenkins took 2 for 14 for the Pembroke team. All other matches in Division Four were unable to start, including the match at Lawrenny where Lawrenny Seconds were due to entertain Neyland Seconds, at Kilgetty where Carew Thirds were the visitors and at Hook where Cresselly Seconds were due to play Hook Seconds.
Division Five
Only one match was possible in Division Five where Haverfordwest Thirds scored 102 for 7 at home to Llanrhian Seconds, who had scored 210 for 7.
Division Six
Again only one match was possible in Division Six where Llechryd Seconds won by four wickets away to Llanrhian Thirds, who had been bowled out for 117.
