Tenby's festive season will kick off in style once again this month, with a host of activities including live music, a charity fun run, and a visit from Santa himself to switch on the lights!
The seaside town’s Christmas lights switch on will take place on Saturday, November 29.
DJ Steve Briers, along with local acts will be bringing live music and festive vibes throughout the day to Tudor Square from 10.30am.
From 12noon spectacular singer Lowri Wyn Smith will be performing a set; followed by dance displays from the Kelly Williams School of Dance between 1 and 3pm.
Next up is guitarist and vocalist Richard Henton from 2pm; while Sam Skyrme-Blackhall will perform seasonal ditties from 3.40pm.
At around 4.45pm, Santa will arrive with a little help from Tenby RNLI in time to turn on the Christmas tree lights outside St Mary’s Church at 5pm, before making his way to his grotto assisted by Tenby’s Fire Crew.
A special Christmas market will also be held in Tudor Square from 9.30am, hosted by Tenby and District Lions.
“It’s that time of year again — and we’re so excited to say the times and live acts for Tenby’s Christmas Lights Switch-On have been confirmed!” said a spokesperson for Tenby Town Council.
“Get ready for a fantastic day packed with local entertainment, festive stalls, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
“There’ll be brilliant performances from local artists, a buzzing market, and of course, a very special visit from Father Christmas himself!
“It’s always a brilliant day full of community spirit — you won’t want to miss it!”

The fun run is quite a sight for the seaside town, with hundreds of entrants taking to the streets dressed as Santa, and a route that takes in spectacular views of Tenby’s harbour and beaches.
It kicks off at 11am from outside the grounds at St Mary’s Church, and entry includes your Santa costume!
Registration will open in the St Marys Church Hall, from 10am and close promptly at 10:45am with the races due to start from 11am.
Prices from just £5 for kids; £7.50 for youth entry and £15 for ddults. Shorter routes available for children, but they are welcome to do the longer route instead/as well if they prefer and are able.
