The countdown has begun to one of the county's premier festive events, Narberth Winter Carnival, which takes place on Saturday, December 2. Once again, the organisers are hoping that it will be a great success.
This year, the carnival is supporting Narberth Lifesaving Club, in association with the 55+ Swimming Club, the Canoe Club, Narberth, and Friends of Narberth Pool.
There is one major change to this year's festivities. With the help of a touring theatre group, Dick Whittington will be performed in the Queen's Hall during the afternoon of Carnival Day, replacing the usual children's disco and Santa's Grotto.
The Winter Wonderland Dance will see the return of the well-followed Blims, with support from Full Speed Ahead, Big Apple Credits and Persona B, all performing from 8 pm in the Queen's Hall.
The illuminated parade should once again be a great success as all insurance costs have already been covered with the support from so many local businesses.
