Tenby people have been urged by town councillors to support a campaign to receive Broadband internet access in the area.
Andrew Powling is a campaign organiser who for several months has called for BT to upgrade the telephone exchange in Tenby to support Broadband internet access.
"In order for them to do this, they require a certain number of people to register their interest, and with a trigger level of 500 close to being reached, more people are urged to register," said Andrew in a letter to the council on Tuesday.
Clr. Mickey Folland spoke of his backing for the Broadband campaign.
"It's been a huge success in other nearby areas and hopefully it will soon be seen in Tenby," he said, with Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, adding: "It's a good opportunity and we fully support the campaign and encourage the people of Tenby to register."
Many businesses have already registered on the site, along with many residential users with a 01834 84 telephone number.
Registering is free and can be done by visiting the informative campaign website at http://www.broadband4tenby.co.uk">www.broadband4tenby.co.uk.
