Councillor Len Shipton has been unanimously re-elected as Mayor of Whitland for a fourth term.

Following the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, May 18, the Town Council said that it was pleased to announce that Councillor Shipton has been unanimously re-elected as Mayor for a fourth term.

A spokesperson for Whitland Town Council shared: “We also congratulate Councillor Jenny Davies Scourfield, who was unanimously elected as Vice Chair.

“We wish both Len and Jenny every success in their roles and thank them for their continued dedication and service to the community.”

Members of the Whitland Community News Group on Facebook, welcomed the new, with one stating: “Many congratulations to you both, nice to see our community in safe hands.”
