More litter bins are needed throughout Tenby, according to a local councillor. Speaking at a meeting of the town council on Tuesday evening, Clr. Mrs. Trisha Putwain said a number of residents had approached her over the lack of bins in the town. "Pembrokeshire County Council seem to be taking them away and not replacing them," she said. "One excuse they used was that the litter bins were being used for trade waste too often and their solution was to take them away full stop, but that's like saying I'm not using my umbrella today incase it gets wet," she continued. "People need to put rubbish in bins," she added. Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, said that councillors would embark on a walkabout of the town soon and they could identify areas that they felt needed litter bins.
