Among planning applications recently considered by members of Narberth Town Council for recommendation to Pembrokeshire County Council were the following:

Renovation and extension to dwelling - Brynmarlais, Redstone Road, Narberth (no objection).

Replacement dwelling - Orielton Fach Farm, Narberth (no objection).

Removal of hedgerow - hedgerow to south of Narberth Bridge (no objection).

Alterations and extension - Plot 31, Redstone Court, Narberth (no objection).

Wool show

praised

Members of Narberth Town Council are to write a letter of congratulations to PLANED for organising a successful wool show at the Queen's Hall and encourage them to make it an annual event.

"The show did a tremendous lot of good for the town," said Clr. Eric Feetham at Tuesday night's monthly council meeting.

Bin bother

Concerned over the difficulties some people have been experiencing using the new rubbish bins in Narberth, the town council are to inform the local authority of the problems encountered by people in wheelchairs, who cannot get close enough to the facility, children, and adults should they only have one hand available to open the bin and deposit their waste.

Double yellow line call

A Narberth town councillor is calling for double yellow lines to be installed at the entrance to Station Approach and at Mill Pond Road.

Clr. Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers made the request, after being asked by local residents, at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.

Laurels

Pembrokeshire County Council is to be asked to cut back and treat laurel trees at Castle Street, Narberth, following a request by town council member Henry Langen.
