Local councillors are to again push for an extra place on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority in light of a possible increase in the number of members that sit on the authority. Currently there are nine members on the authority appointed by Pembrokeshire County Council, along with six Welsh Assembly Government appointed members. The increase would see a rise from 15 members to 18. Discussing the matter at Tuesday evening's meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas felt that one of those extra places should go to a Tenby representative. "We are the only town in the National Park, therefore it would make sense to have one of those extra seats," she commented. Councillors agreed that a letter should be sent to all relevant authorities supporting the increase.
