Local councillors are to object to part of a new traffic order Pembrokeshire County Council are introducing as part of their new civil parking enforcement legislation.
The order relates to off-street parking places and prohibition and restriction of waiting, loading and parking places.
When discussing the matter at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, members pointed out that waiting restrictions which the county council were proposing to implement in bays outside the town's schools were not as they originally agreed.
"We need to let the county council know that this wasn't what we recommended; it's important that we get it right now ahead of the parking decriminalisation," said Clr. Lawrence Blackhall.
Councillors agreed to object to the proposals until this matter was rectified.
Pembrokeshire County Council will be taking over civil parking enforcement in the area on February 1.
