As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Pembroke Town Council made a presentation recently to Monkton Priory School and Golden Grove/Gelli Aur School to mark the 60th anniversary of HM Queen Elizabeth II to the throne.

"Mr. Les Johnson and Mrs. Shelley Morris (headteachers) were in full agreement that an external board would help them keep pupils and parents informed of events taking place in the school and in the community."
The notice boards, with a suitably inscribed plaque, were presented to the schools as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations last week by Clrs. Miss Mel Phillips (Mayor) and Mrs. Pearl Llewellyn (Deputy Mayor).
