Local councillors have congratulated a budding young footballer from the town who has been offered a two-year scholarship at Cardiff City Football Club.

Speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown offered her congratulations to 16-year-old Dylan Rees, of Tenby, on the news of his success.

"Well done to him and his parents and family for travelling back and forth to Cardiff and also maintaining his level of education, I think it's wonderful," said Clr. Mrs. Brown on behalf of the town council, who have sponsored Dylan previously.
