Welsh Assembly Member Christine Gwyther is to be asked to join Tenby Town Council's campaign to get Pembrokeshire County Council to re-open public toilets within the town centre. Although there are public conveniences at The Salterns, Butts Field, North Beach and South Beach, the facilities at The Market and South Parade are closed, with the nearest ones to the centre of the town now being at Castle Beach and the multi- storey car park. The council is also writing to the county council's director of transportation and the environment, Mr. Ian Westley, to ask if there is an obligation to open the toilets at The Market because a cafe is located there.
