The children’s charity PATCH have been handed a boost by Tenby town council ahead of Christmas.
Correspondence from PATCH which since 2008 has been giving free food parcels, clothing and household items to those in a financial crisis in Pembrokeshire, came before members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night, to see if they would consider supporting its annual ‘Christmas Toy Appeal’.
“Last year we gave to over 600 children referred to us - with this project meaning that no Pembrokeshire child should be without Christmas gifts,” said a spokesperson for the charity.
“This is to benefit children in Pembrokeshire, so I think we should support it,” said Clr. Paul Rapi.
Clr. Laurence Blackhall proposed donating £200 to the charity, with Clr. Rapi seconding the proposal, and their fellow councillors agreeing.
